Founding board member and regular Women Build volunteer with Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity, Alison Paradise worked with a friend to create a special bowl for mortgage burning ceremonies. The bowl reads –
“Here papers burn. House payments are done. The house is all yours. A dream come true. Congratulations!”
We thank Alison for her work in support of Tacoma Habitat since its beginning 30 years ago. Her idea and creation of this bowl is a beautiful representation of her connection to Habitat and its mission.
Having built over 250 houses in Pierce County, we can look forward to more partner families making their final home payments – like the Valladeres Family. We look forward to sharing Alison’s ceremonial center piece with our partner families at future mortgage burning celebrations.
