Lutheran Church of Christ the King (LCCK) has been one of Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity’s long-time partners, and we are excited for that partnership to continue on a Global Village trip to Guatemala next July.
“One of the hardest parts of putting together a global mission trip is finding the right coordinator,” said Pastor Peter Mohr. He emphasized the difficulty in planning things like housing, meals, and tools.
“It is a dream to partner with Habitat and have all of those details taken care of,” he said.
LCCK’s history of partnering with TPC Habitat is one decorated with countless contributions, including donating, hosting Collegiate Challenge students, attending home dedications, and volunteering on the build sites.
“Habitat builds have been one of those places where we get to live out our faith in a very tangible and literally concrete way that makes sense to those seeking a deeper understanding of what it means to be a church,” said Mohr.
