We would like to introduce you to Kendrick Lemur, the new addition to the Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity team! This cute little lemur may not look strong enough to swing a hammer but he is our new construction site helper who will get some insight on what’s going on with the construction team and updates on house building.
Check out Kendrick’s first day as told by Nick, one of our AmeriCorps members:
“Kendrick started his day at The Woods at Golden Given. AmeriCorps member Tori found him hanging around in the upstairs bathroom, keeping a watchful eye on AmeriCorps members John and Emily as they put the final touches on the Stephens’ home. New appliances are being installed in preparation for the Stephens’ dedication on October 31st at 10:30 am. To insure Kendrick is well versed in all things Habitat, we took a little road trip to Swan Creek (buckle up for safety). He was introduced to AmeriCorps member Hannah and got a front row seat to AmeriCorps member Damian’s lunch (nothing like BBQ chicken being eaten with a spoon). This afternoon he will be helping the construction site coordinators and regular volunteers finish roofing on Lot 3. I hope he’s not afraid of heights!”
